Eye Sight Returns
![]() After gradually losing his eyesight, our friend Rich was diagnosed with a rare, hereditary degenerative eye disease. He was seen at the U of Minnesota and at the Mayo Clinic, but it wasn't until he was referred to the eye department at Iowa State University in Ames that he was given the diagnosis. Sadly, there was nothing they could do for him. Rich and his wife sold their house so he wouldn't have stairs to climb or yard work to do. He lost his driver's license and had to use a powerful magnifying glass to read or use the computer. In August 2008, I asked Rich if he would agree to be my guinea pig and try our new product called Vivix. After being on Vivix for a year. his sight returned and the doctors in Iowa were amazed. He got his driver's license back and can do everything he used to do before losing his sight. He never misses a day of Vivix and we are both so grateful to Shaklee for the amazing research they do and for the wonderful, life-changing products they make. ~Vicki, 2011 Don's Finger Saved From Amputation
In early February of 2012 my husband was late home from work and faced with several feet of snow from a very heavy dense snowstorm. The snow was wet and icy – forming big chunks of ice in the snow blower. After “work stoppages” – Don released the clutch to remove a block of ice and put his hand into the cavity – without realizing that the auger was still turning. It caught his hand and pulled it into the turning blades – severing his middle finger except for one artery and a piece of skin (he had gloves on). While 3 fingers were damaged – the middle finger was the worst. We rushed to the hospital where they deadened the hand – then waited approximately 3 hours for the hand surgeon to arrive to assess his hand.
After almost 2 hours of surgery to reattach the finger (cut between the second and third joint) and 31 stitches we went home. Don takes his Shaklee supplements faithfully and we upped his antioxidants and added Liver DTX for the pain meds he had to take for this incredibly painful injury. Not only was his finger almost severed but he had pulverized the bone and nerves in the fingertip. He was scheduled to visit the doctor in one week – to check the stitches and see if there was enough blood flow to sustain life in the finger.
Don said that almost as soon as he added the second teaspoon of Vivix – he could feel some kind of tingling – the difference was immediate. My only regret is that I didn’t think immediately about increasing his Vivix – but thank heavens we did at week 3. We both know that Vivix is the reason his didn’t lose his finger to this accident. ~J. K, 2012 Dr. McManus speaking on Vivix
NO MORE MIGRAINES
I am a teacher…most of my career has been with First graders and Kindergarteners. I was also working with my “environmental” brother, John, on projects with KIDS about the environment. During my research I became very aware of the toxins in my own home caused by common household cleaners. I was using some of the top brands with the worst toxic chemicals. I learned that these toxic cleaners were causing my allergy symptoms, headaches, and compromising my immune system.
I was plagued with migraine headaches for about 10 years. I found a prescription that would knock the pain out if I could catch it in the early stages, but the migraines could last 2-3 days. In 2008, I experienced a 3-week long migraine and finally I was sent to the hospital for a day to “knock it out”. Then a neurologist started me on another prescription (morning and night- Topamax) that helped manage the migraines but I experienced many side-effects. I would take Imitrex (100mg) that would help only if I took it early enough. These 2 pharmaceuticals allowed me to continue teaching but I did not have the quality of life I had hoped for as I finished the last decade of my teaching career. The Imitrex was covered by my drug plan (otherwise about $230 for 9 pills) but 9 pills was not usually enough to get me through the month. I also did not want to continue the rest of my life depending on these drugs for relief. On Sept. 1, 2009 I was introduced to Shaklee. It was the solution for my environmental concerns for more appropriate cleaning products. I found out that the toxins in my old cleaning products had also contributed to my migraines. I started taking the Vitalizer vitamin pak and Vivix. I felt so good---including not one headache--- that after one month, I decided to try and wean myself of my prescriptions. I began decreasing my dosage until within another 2 months I was “drug-free”. For the past 3+ years, I have not had a migraine, in fact, no headaches at all. To date…I take Vivix & Vitalizer every day (usually the whole RX For Life). Vita-D3 is also my friend and I take 3-4 extra Vita-D3 each day. I also take 10-15 Alfalfa daily which eliminates my mild allergy symptoms and I believe also helps keep the migraines away. Alfalfa is a powerful blood purifier, anti-inflammatory, natural antihistamine, and detoxifier (and only about 3 cents a tablet). If I feel a headache might be coming on…I take an extra tsp. of Vivix, or 5 more Alfalfa that I always carry in my purse. It is exciting to be feeling so energized, and solving my headache problem in a more natural way. Thank you Shaklee!!! ~ E. G. 2013 M i g r a i n e s
My name is Gayle, and thanks to Vivix I have my life back. All my life I have had migraines. I never knew when they would happen, but when they did my day was gone … days too numerous to mention curled up in bed with the curtains drawn (the darker the better), no radio and no noise of any kind, a bucket beside my bed, and a cold compress to help ease the pain. The next
day, when my migraine finally subsided I felt like I had been hit by a truck. My head would still hurt where the pain was. I visited my family doctor to see if she could help me so I could function, as the headaches were starting to interfere with my job. She gave me a prescription for medication that, if I didn’t have a drug plan, I would not be able to afford. The medication helped my headaches, providing I took them at the onset of a migraine. Needless to say, I carried the medication with me everywhere I went. My brother introduced me to Shaklee Vivix and I started taking it on a regular basis, not knowing that it would affect my life in such a dramatic way. I have not had a headache or a migraine in over three months. I can’t even begin to tell you what life is like without a headache … something I have never experienced before, and it’s great!” “Thank you Vivix, thank you Shaklee, and thank you brother!” Hooked On Vivix
I had my full-blown blood work done on Wednesday and just got my results from the doctors office ... Aspen Internal Care. Last time I did my blood work, my bad cholesterol was going up to the point she was ready to put me on cholesterol medication, thus I was fearing I got Mom's genes and they finally were showing up in my old age of 53. On my last appointment after reading my lab tests at that point in time, my doctor said, I want you to loose weight, exercise and change your diet, in 6 months we will test you again and talk about medications. Well, guess what? The office called me with my results and my lab tests came back perfect. My cholesterol came way down to perfect range, kidney function perfect, liver function perfect...they said all the numbers were perfect. I am ecstatic you know why? I honestly believe it's because of my life style change but I've been on Vivix for 2 months now and think this had a huge impact on my numbers. I am over the mood, so excited! Thank you for not giving up on me regarding this product. I love it and will be on it for life. Maybe you should forward this to Don and Pat. ~ D. Family History of DiabetesI have a family history of diabetes – my mother, father and brother are all diabetics. I have always felt good, kept my health in check and got annual checkups with my family physician. It wasn’t until August 2007 that I was diagnosed with this disease. I had not been feeling good – mostly just tired all the time, sleepy all the time and I could never get enough water! When I was diagnosed, my blood sugar was over 700 and my A1C was 12. Even my doctor could not believe these numbers!
I immediately started taking a number of medications- insulin, metformin, a diuretic, etc. to try and get my sugars under control. Even with a significant change in my diet (I had an enormous sweet tooth before and ate a lot of red meat), I could not get my daily sugars under 180-200. The “normal” range is anything less than 150 – with numbers closer to 100 being ideal. Worse than this, I felt horrible. I felt more tired than before and depression became a part of my life. I was taking 7 medications daily because after taking many of the diabetes meds, my cholesterol was out of whack too. I was desperate and really looking for anything to help me. In January 2009, my wife convinced me, begrudgingly, to attend a Shaklee meeting with her. My wife is a 2nd generation Shaklee kid as her family has used Shaklee products for more than 25 years. She had always tried to get me to take my health more seriously – but I was a naysayer and skeptic (which is an understatement) and would never even take a vitamin. We have always used the Shaklee products in our home during our 9 year marriage- but I never thought I needed any supplements or vitamins. However, it was during this meeting that I was introduced to Vivix. I learned about the mechanism of action and how it was supposed to work at a cellular level in the body. I also had the opportunity to hear from Jim Burke, Presidential Master Coordinator, about Vivix and about Shaklee’s science behind the product. Finally, I heard from a 70+ year old lady that was also a diabetic. She had been a diabetic for as long as she could remember and had been on medications for most of her life. She reported that she had been taking Vivix and had seen a dramatic decrease in her blood sugar levels – now to the point that she was actually no longer on ANY medications. My only thought at that point was…if I could just cut my medications and 3 daily injections in half, I would consider it a success. So – on the ride home that Saturday, I agreed to try Vivix. I was skeptical but desperate. I began taking the product in late January. While taking the product, I began to research resveratrol. I couldn’t believe the research and science that had been done on this one ingredient! I also started listening to more information from Shaklee. I had the opportunity to hear Dr. Jamie McManus here in Phoenix in March 2009. She talked about the state of health today in the US – and diabetes was definitely a topic. Dr. Jamie recommended a high quality protein for diabetics (like Cinch) and also Vitalizer for a healthy balance of nutrients. I decided to add these products to my daily regimen. I was very dedicated to monitoring my blood sugar daily and noticed, after about 60 days, that my levels were, in fact coming down. I was consistently below 170 and nearing the 150 mark. I could not believe what I was seeing – or how I was feeling! More energy, better quality of sleep, and better overall health. I continued on this regimen and after about 4 months, I started to decrease my injections because my sugars were getting too low! When I went in to see my endocrinologist, my A1C had lowered to 8 and my sugars were definitely within range. Even better, my cholesterol was not just within normal ranges – I was on the low end of the range for LDL and triglycerides. So I continued to wean myself off my meds until my blood sugar levels were consistently normal – with my doctor’s help. I now take NO medications at all – and continue to take my Shaklee vitamins and protein. I added extra B Complex and OmegaGuard as well. After I began telling others my story, it became clear that we needed to start our own business. Shaklee has given me my life back and I feel better today at 51 than I have felt in many years. Turns out, there really is something to this nutrition stuff! That’s my story. I hope it is helpful. Here’s what I currently take… • 2 teaspoon Vivix one morning one night • 1-Vitalizer Strip • 10 Tablets Alfalfa • 1 to 2 tablets B-Complex • 4 soft gels OmegaGuard • 2 tablets NutriFeron In addition… I take the Shaklee 180 inch loss plan — 2 meals daily (for breakfast and lunch), and the Shaklee 180 Energizing Smoothee: Soy Protein I do mine with water you can use milk or soy milk, coconut milk. I also take 2 capsules of Glucose Regulation Complex. I walk 3 to 4 miles every other day and eat one good meal for dinner … and no fast food! Scottsdale, AZ. ![]() Elsie’s Journey from Alzheimers Our Mom had become bed-ridden, wore diapers and seldom recognized family or friends. We bathed, dressed, and fed her. She was diagnosed the beginning of the worst stage of Alzheimers. Mom was prescribed Aricept and slept for those 7 months. Next they prescribed Exelon, another 3 months of sleeping. Were Alzheimer drugs just meant to keep patients sedated? Then came Namenda, Mom became violently ill, lay in bed in pain and lost 30 pounds in less than 30 days. We decided to stop all prescription medications and get her on a Shaklee Supplement program to give her body the benefits of health. She took Vita-Lea Gold, Memory Optimizer, HerbLax, Energyzing Soy Protein and Optiflora. Within a few weeks she started getting up on her own and showing improvements. Then Shaklee introduced a new product, Vivix. Within a few weeks of adding Vivix Mom began recognizing family members, she remembers all her children again. She can brush her teeth, wash and dress herself, and no longer wear diapers. She does the dishes and sweeps the patio. When we shop she has conversations with other people. She plays with her great grandchildren, many songs & rhymes she didn’t remember before she now sings and recites to them. Her long term memory returned, though not perfect, and has selective short term memory. Today Mom is only stage 1-2 Alzheimer's. A few times when we forgot to give her the supplements or when the Vivix wasn’t available she became listless and confused. Not only is that stressful for Mom, but it makes it very difficult for us as her caregivers. We now see to it we have an ample supply and it always travels with us. Red Wine 'Can Protect Against Radiation'FROM TELEGRAPH.CO.UK
By R. A. 23 Sep 2008 According to the latest research, red wine - along with its many other claimed benefits - may also protect you from radiation exposure. A team at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine have discovered that resveratrol, the natural anti-oxidant found in red wine, can protect cells from the damage caused by radiation. In experiments on mice the scientists found that when combined with the chemical acetyl and administered before radiation exposure it protected the cells and helped prevent death. The results, to be presented to the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, could lead to drugs to counteract poisoning in the wake of a nuclear emergency or attack. "New, small molecules with radioprotective capacity will be required for treatment in case of radiation spills or even as countermeasures against radiological terrorism," said Dr Joel Greenberger of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the university. "Small molecules which can be easily stored, transported and administered are optimal for this, and so far acetylated resveratrol fits these requirements well. "Currently there are no drugs on the market that protect against or counteract radiation exposure." The study was overseen by Pitt's Center for Medical Countermeasures Against Radiation, which is dedicated to finding radiation protecters that can be administered in the event of a large-scale radiological or nuclear emergency. The current research is not connected to advice given to workers cleaning up Chernobyl who were told to drink half a glass of vodka after every two hours of exposure to radiation. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/3067317/Red-wine-can-protect-against-radiation.html |
A BREAST CANCER STORYI was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in July of 1997. My doctor called to tell me as I was getting ready to leave for my sons' t-ball game. I remember sitting in the stands watching them play and trying to process that information. It was one month before my 37th birthday. I had no family history of breast cancer (or any cancer) and I also had none of the risk factors for the disease. I had a late start for menstruation, I had my children before the age of 35, I breast fed my babies, etc. So much for that theory!
What I did have was a tremendous amount of constant daily stress in my life for the previous 2 years. My husband’s mother and oldest brother were in need of caregivers. They were no longer able to maintain their home, drive, or take care of themselves. My mother-in-law had bone spurs in her back & diabetes, and my brother-in-law is mentally challenged and has epilepsy. And no, my mother in law was not open to nutrition or Shaklee at that time…she was from the ‘old school doctor knows best’ way of thinking. But that's a whole other story. To make the transition easier for them, we packed up our 3 kids, gave up our home to buy theirs, added an in-law suite, and began to care for them. Long story short… my mother-in-law’s worrisome personality and negative attitude about life in general (along with a touch of dementia) made life miserable for my family. The stress was constant, unyielding, and as I found out, very detrimental to my health. So my 1st piece of advice…Lose the stress in your life. I found the cancer while doing a breast check in the shower. It felt hard, and was about the size of a small bb or pea. The one (and only!) benefit for having small breasts is that it is very easy to see/feel changes in them. I called my GYN to schedule an appt. After checking, he immediately sent me for a mammogram. Here is where it starts to get interesting. They took a bilateral mammogram. The lump I found in my left breast was symmetrical (not branch-y and ugly like most tumors), so they weren’t overly concerned with it. They were concerned about my right breast where they found “calcification”. They wanted to do a biopsy on that breast. I went to a surgeon (wonderful man), and said that I wanted to have a bilateral biopsy, because I wanted to also remove the lump that I found. Well, as it turned out, the “calcification” they were concerned about was NOTHING, and the lump I found was malignant. My cancer was in a VERY early stage, though, due to the early detection, and my prognosis was excellent. The suggested course of treatment was to receive a lumpectomy and possibly radiation therapy/chemotherapy. The lumpectomy results were great. No cancer anywhere except in the original tumor that was about .5c in diameter. Now we had to decide what to do next. You see, in breast cancer treatments, there are guidelines that every oncologist follows. It is more of a “crap shoot’ as to which will be 'best' for an individual patient. Also, the suggested course of action will vary from Dr. to Dr., --sometimes depending on which clinical study is currently being conducted at their specific hospital, and each suggestion is an “educated” guess. Therefore, I got two opinions from two different Oncologists from two different hospitals. (Cleveland Clinic and University Hospital). The first Oncologist wanted me to undergo radiation therapy AND take hormone therapy in the form of Tamoxifen for 5 years. The tamoxifen would, they think, decrease my chance for re-occurrence by a small percentage if I took the drug for 5 years. She also wanted me to have my uterus removed, because one “small” side effect of Tamoxifen is uterine cancer. That, to me, was ridiculous. Why on earth would I want to take a drug that is known to cause cancer—to prevent cancer? And I would have to have major surgery just to be able to take that drug? Are you kidding? I said I have been taking Shaklee’s Vivix (Resveratrol) for 6 months. Thedoctor looked surprised, and said When I refused, the oncologist became very irate with me and she made the statement to the effect that I should “do this for the good of womankind”. What she meant was that she needed patients that fit the protocol for her current research study for the hospital & pharmaceutical company! Ah…I don’t think so. I told her ‘no thank you’ to her offer of becoming one of her guinea pigs and told her that I would choose a plan that would be the best choice for the mother of my 3 small children and we walked out--disgusted-- as we began to learn about the ‘big business’ side of cancer. The other oncologist suggested only radiation therapy with follow up tests every 6 months for 2 years. I, of course, chose the 2nd Oncologist’s advice and chose “only” radiation therapy. If I had that same choice today, I would have not chosen either---maybe just the lumpectomy---- But that’s because I have lots more ammunition today than I did those many years ago and I’m not afraid of cancer anymore. Lesson learned. While I was researching, I found strong evidence on the benefits of SOY PROTEIN in the prevention of Breast and Prostate Cancer, among other things. I found that the genistein in the soy acts as an anti-estrogen, much like tamoxifen, and it would hinder the growth of the cancer cells. Soy Protein, when processed correctly like Shaklee’s Soy, provides all the benefits of estrogen without any of the harmful side effects So, here is a NATURAL alternative with SIDE BENEFITS vs. a HARMFUL drug with nasty SIDE EFFECTS that they wanted me to take for 5 years! Hmmm…which to choose? LOL. Not only were they unaware of the research, but also showed no interest in it. When I offered them the folder full of research articles I personally found about Soy Protein, (Yes, I’m a research junkie!) not only would they not listen, they discouraged me from taking ANY nutritional supplements! Only my surgeon took the time to listen and read. He and his wife began taking the Shaklee nutrition strips (called The Basics back then) and Soy Protein. Throughout my whole battle with this disease, I have had some interesting test results. My cancer was contained and symmetrical--probably due to the nutritional supplements that I was already taking, as my body was doing its best to maintain health while still using so much energy to deal with the constant stress; I experienced zero fatigue during to the radiation treatments; and my red/white/platelet blood counts were, as the Dr. said, “probably better than any of us in the room with you.” But never once was I asked what I was doing to achieve these results! I was drinking the Soy Protein 2-3 times daily, and taking numerous nutritional supplements to promote my immune system response, eliminate toxins, and build healthy cells. I was also eating as close to Nature as possible with little/no processed foods. My husband often commented that it was like I had something like a flu/cold…I did what I needed to do to get rid of it, moved on, and never gave it another thought. I think as a product of NATURE and as someone who had breast cancer, I would like to have any and all information about Natural approaches available to combat any disease. But word of warning: Don’t you dare call me a survivor…I kicked cancer’s butt and I’m a Victor! (In addition, no, I don’t walk for the cure or buy into that pink ribbon stuff…mainly because the CURE for cancer is in our lifestyle choices….not in a drug….and they don’t spend nearly enough of their money on prevention and/or natural approaches. Sadly, but just like The American Cancer Society it’s simply become big business. If I sound a little ticked off about this--- it’s because I am! So, instead of walking or buying things with pink ribbons attached to them, I choose to teach people about health and prevention. I am encouraged that there is more information offered now about alternative and complimentary therapies. Probably largely due to the Internet and not being about to ignore so many people having positive results with such. I hope the benefits of Shaklee Supplementation & Soy Protein—become universal. And now we have POWER TOOLS like Vitalizer, NutriFeron, GLA, Liver DTX, Optiflora, Vivix, and Stress Relief Complex. WOOHOO! FYI: The only time I talk about having cancer is to help someone else as it in no way defines who I am. So I hope this helps someone in some small way. If you are facing a battle against cancer, just know that YOU and the power of Nature are strong. You can do it! A. S. I am a breast cancer survivor now 11 years out. For the last four years I have
had a tumor marker done during my yearly oncologist visit. The range is between 0-3S (of course no one has 0). In 2004, it was around 18. Each year it has slowly ticked up and in 2007 it was up to 20.7. This was a red flag for me although my oncologist dismissed it. I started using Vivix in Aug. 2008. In Oct. '08, I had my yearly checkup and had my tumor marker done. My tumor marker was down to 9.3. Wow! The only thing I am doing differently is taking Vivix. Since my encounter with breast cancer, I have made it my mission to help others to live a healthier life. I was not looking for Shaklee. Shaklee found me and I am so very thankful every day of my life.Shaklee has helped me turn something so negative into a positive by giving me the opportunity to share my story and to help people just like me with products that really work. Eleven years ago, my wife and I were out of town at a Christmas dinner when I woke up with cramps, and began bleeding all over the bathroom floor. I was very sick and we were very scared. I was controlling my diabetes with diet and exercise, taking my Shaklee supplements.
After ten days in the hospital, we had a diagnosis - sort of. My colon was completely inflamed and they thought I had ulcerative colitis. The doctors started showing Katie videos about living with someone who had a colectomy. Now I was on insulin because of the steroids. The doctors said I should have my colon completely removed, but gradually I began to get better, even though I reacted violently to the specific medicines that were supposed to help. It made me wonder if we had the right diagnosis. By gradually I mean a couple of years, during which we were also working with Carol Dalton, a nurse practitioner from Colorado who got me on a diet to help control inflammation. If I was careful about what I ate, I seldom had any symptoms at all: occasionally my stomach hurt, but there was no cramping or bleeding. I did seem tired a lot, and by three years ago I was completely exhausted. Work was extremely stressful at the time. A stress test and blood work revealed nothing, and so our family doctor sent me in for another colonoscopy. "It could be your colon, even though you don't have any symptoms of colitis." he said. And he was right. The specialist said my colon was inflamed again and that I had thousands of polyps. I was at high risk for cancer, and they wouldn't be able to tell if I did have it. The colon would definitely have to come out. He sent me to the University of Michigan for a second opinion. After a cursory but expensive and exceptionally rude office visit I was told that surgery was necessary. I would never get better and should quit putting it off. The diagnosis was now atypical ulcerative colitis. They were pretty sure I had the disease, even though I didn't have the symptoms. But I wasn't going to let anyone take out an entire organ until I new exactly what I had. What caused the inflammation? What if they took my colon out and I still had the inflammation? I had begun consulting with Dr. Brouse in Oregon. He said my blood profile indicated eight of nine body systems were exhausted, which explains why I was. I was on a more restrictive diet with even more supplements. My A1C was almost 10, and I could barely function at work. An elder in my church, I quit teaching Sunday school for the first time in 40 years. At the university where I teach, work was piling up and I was learning to let it go. So I referred my self to the Cleveland Clinic, thinking it might be a hereditary issue. After my first exam my specialist, the head of the department, said she didn't think that was the case. She did say I had thousands of polyps and should probably have my colon out. She referred me to a surgeon. I was having a colonoscopy every six months now, and when we went back the second time the surgeon explained the cancer thing again. But he understood why I was so reluctant to have the surgery. "If you were going to the bathroom 25 times a day, and I said you would only be going eight to ten, you would sigh right up," he said. "But since you are going two or three times a day, it doesn't sound like an improvement." "It sound like colitis," I joked. My doctor said she would give us some time, but if she ever found anything suspicious at all I should be planing to go straight to the operation room. That was in December, about the same time I started taking Vivix. When we returned to Cleveland in August she used the word "incredible" three times. "What have you been doing besides praying?" she asked. "Diet," I said. "More rest, and a resveratrol product from Shaklee called Vivix. That's the only thing different." As it turns out, for the first time since the initial diagnosis, the inflammation is receding and there are patches that appear to be healed. There are fewer polyps, hundreds now instead of thousands. Removing my colon is no longer indicated, since I appear to have patches of Crohn's and not ulcerative colitis. After my taking Vivix for eight months they could see more of my colon, and what they could see was hope. I'm still not completely well. I know that. I've learned chronic disease is, well, chronic. It takes a long time to heal. And it's a lot of work. That means you need a lot of support - Family, Church, Prayer... These things matter. I'm blessed to have a wife who encourages me to take my vitamins, to eat better and to sleep more. I'm learning to slow down too and rest in the grace of God. That also matters. But I'm encouraged, for the first time in over a decade, My specialist said to keep taking my Vivix and to come back in two years, not six months. My family doctor say my A1C is 6.3. I'm doing great and I'm grateful for a lot of things, including Vivix. ![]() ALZHEIMERS
By MARY H. My Mom has Alzheimer's and has been living with Jeff and me for the last 10 years as she requires 24/7 care. For the first time in a few years, my mom made a sandwich for herself!! We are really starting to think that Vivix is making a difference. Her appetite is definitely improved and she referred to me as her daughter to someone the other day! We're actually thinking of discontinuing her Aricept completely. Seems like it may be doing more harm than good? What a surprise! We started her on Vivix as soon as it was available to the public. When it went on back-order we all got off it for a month or so, maybe even 8 weeks, I'd say, in total, she's been on it for 3-4 months,.,maybe a bit less.Last week, my sister Maureen showed Mom he wedding photo and Mom said: "That's me!"Maureen then said: "Who's that next to you?1IMom said: "That's my husband I" Today I showed her another photo from her wedding (a group photo) and she did recognize her father. I think I'm going to give her 2 teaspoons per day and see what happens! RESVERATROL and CANCER![]() I said I have been taking Shaklee’s Vivix (Resveratrol) for 6 months. On the days at work when I have to be on my feet for 5 hours or more I would leave here limping because my feet were so swollen I could barely walk. I would have to go home and elevate my feet and legs for an hour or two just to be able to function in the evening. I started taking Vivix in 2008 and within about 3-4 months I noticed that when I left work – I did not have to go straight home – I could go grocery shopping or run errands and the pain and swelling was no longer in my feet. I can’t say that the Vivix gave me more energy per se but rather I describe it as more endurance. I won’t go a day without it! M. F, July, 2010, CT |
